Small figure sculpture sketch of Maria – started as a 30 minute teaching demo, I then finished it from memory (over about 3 hours) using only the tool pictured. I didn’t have any sketches or photos but I had observed her in pose for 11 sessions so thought it would be a good exercise.

Sadly Barrie died a few days after sitting for the third session.

He was a fantastic model to work with and I glad I had the chance to both sculpt and draw him.
